Growing Justice Fund Launches New Round of Grant Funding to Strengthen Equitable Food Systems

The Growing Justice Fund is excited to announce the launch of a new round of grant funding, aimed at empowering community-led organizations, Tribal Nations, and coalitions working to create equitable food systems. The grants will provide critical support for initiatives that advance food justice and foster the leadership of Tribal, Indigenous, Black, Latinx, Asian, and immigrant communities.

Grant Opportunities

We are offering two types of grants:

  • Planning Grants: Up to $25,000 to support the development and strategy-building efforts of community organizations.
  • Implementation Grants: Up to $250,000 for organizations ready to execute impactful, community-driven food system projects.

These grants are designed to:

  • Close the equity gap for smaller food producers and businesses.
  • Deliver economic benefits to historically marginalized communities.
  • Foster cultural sustainability through wealth-building opportunities.

Supporting Transformational Change

The Growing Justice Fund seeks to catalyze change by supporting food systems that reflect community needs, empowering local leadership, and promoting inclusive economic growth. By investing in these initiatives, we aim to create sustainable food systems that generate long-term benefits for underrepresented communities and contribute to an equitable future for all.
